What to do in the event of a car accident
If you have been involved in a car accident, whether major or minor, in which damage has been sustained, we recommend calling VicRoads immediately (131 176), quoting your registration number, prior to calling us. This covers you under your car insurance requirements, as many providers may be reluctant to cover damage in the event of the car being moved prior to police or VicRoads arrival.
